For periods of sickness absence up to 7 days, PAYE temporary workers may "self-certificate" by completing and submitting the HRMC self-certification form. Sickness claims beyond 7 days must be accompanied by acceptable medical evidence. For example, a Statement of Fitness for Work or ‘fit note' from your doctor that says you ‘are not fit for work'. Get in touch with your recruiter if you require any further information.
