Immediate Requirement - Buyer
Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their busy Procurement Team.
The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing goods and services and the responsibilities of the role will include:
- Create and manage purchase orders for goods and services
- Sourcing products or services to the required specifications
- Negotiating pricing and delivery times
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers
- Expediting orders ensuring timely delivery of products
- Ensure all systems are updated
- Working closely with key internal stakeholders
- Analyse market trends and identify new suppliers
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
- Experience of working in a similar buyer/purchasing role
- Experience in placing purchase orders and expediting orders
- Experience of using ERP/MRP systems would be highly advantageous
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- A good communicator who can build strong working relationships with colleagues and Suppliers
- Team Player
