Senior Design Engineer/Manager - Engineering & Manufacturing
Salary: up to £50,000
Full time, permanent position
Working hours - On-site, 39.5 per week / early finish Fridays
Are you an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in CAD, product development and leading a team? We are seeking a motivated individual to join an established business, working on a range of projects from concept to production.

**Due to upcoming projects, there is a progression plan into a leadership role**
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading design projects, manage resources and work closely with customers and internal teams to develop and refine product designs.
- Produce detailed dimensional and technical drawings.
- Generate bills of materials and ensure accurate documentation.
- Support manufacturing teams, prioritising work as required.
- Liaise with external certification bodies where necessary.
- Investigate and resolve design and quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Experience in developing product designs from specification to final production.
- Design for manufacture expertise.
- Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.
Soft Skills & Attributes:
- Experienced leader managing a team through projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO9001 beneficial).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
