My 30 plus years in recruitment do seem to have passed rather quickly. Over that period, I’ve seen our economy and the recruitment sector change significantly. And no more so than in recent years, with the speed of change accelerating relentlessly, and the need for constant adaptation being paramount.

For me, people are the beating heart of successful organisations. To work effectively and professionally for our clients, my colleagues need to be supported by excellent systems and candidate acquisition strategies. But also, by a set of values that establish and sustain the brand of the business both internally and externally. Making Escape both successful and a great place to work.

Since establishing Escape in 2000, my aim has always been to encourage ownership, creativity, and excellence amongst my colleagues. Their targets are theirs to set and achieve. My primary role is to support their personal development, take obstacles out of the way to allow their drive and initiative to flourish.
