Description

Our candidate is currently living in London but all set for relocating to Edinburgh once they have secured employment.  

They have been a manager for over 10 years and an FM Manager for 7 years, managing teams of up to 40 (hard/soft staff), and managing contracts from the bids/tendering process to developing client relationships and project management. They are currently responsible for all FM for 195 units for a very prestigious client within the medical sector. When they joined, there were no automated processes in place, complex M&E issues and outdated legislation. They created policies and procedures to eliminate the gaps in compliance, reviewed all managed buildings and set up new agreements, SLAs, asset management registers, tendering tool, and bundled services. They introduced KPIs for staff and full PPM schedules as work being done prior was mostly emergency and reactive maintenance.  

Prior to current role, they worked in public sector. This was their first experience of FM and taking on a manager role meant learning fast and gaining the experience of dealing with a variety of issues and strict legislation. They moved to Team Leader as Head of FM and overseen all operational activities for the FM of 23 buildings.
