Job Title: Group Financial Accountant

Location: Troon, Ayrshire

Salary: £50,000-£60,000

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Group Financial Accountant to join a fast paced, rapidly growing manufacturing company.

The role of the Group Financial Accountant involves preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and related reports for several UK entities. This position requires leading the budgeting and audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

You will be responsible for:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, and Variance Analysis.
  • Support business managers by providing profitability, KPI, production, and cost summary reports.
  • Completing HMRC returns,
  • Reviewing and authorising bank payments
  • Liaising with external auditors to prepare and review audit schedules while leading the audit process to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Preparing financial projections
  • Assisting in the development of financial models
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Support the careful monitoring and management of working capita
  • Provide support for evaluating capital investment opportunities, ensure capital expenditure proposals are properly reviewed and evaluated, and conduct post-spend analysis of approved and implemented capital investments.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • Preparing management accounts and related financial reports
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, and familiarity with HMRC returns and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in leading audit processes and liaising with external auditors is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience with accounting systems implementation is a plus, and professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are preferred.
