Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Scotland/ NE

Salary: To be discussed + car + bonus

Our client is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the manufacturing sector. With a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to driving growth, they have an exciting role available due to internal promotion.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team. This role is pivotal in driving business expansion and strengthening relationships with existing new customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, with prior experience dealing with manufacturing customers.

What will you be doing?

  • Build, grow and expand new sales pipelines in both existing and emerging markets, leveraging on competitive advantages in supply chain, global sourcing and technical services.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities, developing and nurturing strong relationships with key customers.
  • Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify areas of growth and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive and expand market share and ensure that competitors' information is tracked for strategic action plans.
  • Build a strategy for growth in the region, driving operational excellence with on-time-delivery and conduct net promoter surveys

Are you right for this role?

  • Prior experience of working within a business development role is essential
  • Experience dealing with medium to large manufacturing customers across Scotland or the North East is essential
  • Knowledge of monthly forecast and annual planning
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • UK Driving license
  • Flexibility to travel across Scotland and the North East
