Due to an expansion of expansion of services and requirements, our Public Sector Client is looking to appoint a Procurement Project Manager.
This is a flexible and project-based role and the Procurement Project Manager would be required to work in a variety of different projects/roles across organisations throughout Scotland for variable periods of time. Project roles would cover a variety of categories and spend areas and a broad range of professional procurement activities in line with the client's needs. There could be the need to work within the core Contracting team, which would mean working within one or more of the categories, managing Framework Agreements and supplier relationship management on behalf of the sector.
The successful candidate will be an ambassador for our client and will demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour when working on projects. They will enjoy working with different Stakeholders and excel at building strong working relationships. They will understand the importance of project delivery and customer service.
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
- You must have proven experience working in Public Sector Procurement
- Have solid knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation
- Be experienced in tendering within a regulated environment Public Contracts (Scotland) and PRA(Scotland) Act.
- Have a considerable understanding of the key ethical/social & environmental impacts of procurement
- Experience with project management processes and meeting demanding targets and deadlines
- Understand the importance of delivering a First-Class procurement service to Stakeholders
- Enjoy building working relationships with Stakeholders/Customers
Depending on the location of the projects in Scotland, this role will be remote with the need to be on-site to attend meetings etc.
