Escape recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Stores Person to join our clients dynamic team in Inverkeithing. We are looking for someone to carry out various material handling and storage operations within their stores and workshop, by employing efficient and effective working practices. You will be recognised as the competent person for receiving, storing and handling of goods. Responsible for general housekeeping and maintaining a clean and tidy workshop, whilst ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are maintained. Car and Forklift licence is required.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received.
- Pick, Pack and ship by hand & using a forklift.
- Perform daily/weekly Cycle counts.
- Participate in the year end annual stock check.
- Updating inventory management systems.
- Liaising with Inventory Control for any stock item discrepancies.
- Liaising with Purchasing on any goods receipt's discrepancies.
- Keeping a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the store
- Maintain and adhere to Health and Safety Standards
- Training other staff members
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a Stores environment is preferable.
- Material handling and document control knowledge and understanding would also be an advantage.
- Valid Forklift Licence is required.
- Clean drivers licence is required.
